# Welcome to QECC’s documentation

MQT QECC is a tool for quantum error correcting codes. It is part of the
 *[Munich Quantum Toolkit (MQT)](https://mqt.readthedocs.io/en/stable/index.html)*.

We recommend you to start with the
[installation instructions](installation.html.md). The *Tools* section walks
through the individual submodules for
[circuit synthesis](tools/synthesis.html.md), [decoding](tools/decoders.html.md),
and [logical compilation](tools/compilation.html.md). To understand how these
build on a shared code representation, see the
[architecture overview](architecture.html.md). For details on individual classes
and functions, read the [reference documentation](api/mqt/qecc/index.html.md). If
you are interested in the theory behind QECC, have a look at the publications in
the [publication list](references.html.md).

We appreciate any feedback and contributions to the project. If you want to
contribute, you can find more information in the
[contribution guide](contributing.html.md). If you are having trouble with the
installation or the usage of QECC, please let us know on our
[support page](support.html.md).

## Contributors and Supporters

The *[Munich Quantum Toolkit (MQT)](https://mqt.readthedocs.io)* is developed by
the [Chair for Design Automation](https://www.cda.cit.tum.de/) at the
[Technical University of Munich](https://www.tum.de/) and supported by
[MQSC](https://mq.sc). Among others, it is part of the
[Munich Quantum Software Stack (MQSS)](https://www.munich-quantum-valley.de/research/research-areas/mqss)
ecosystem, which is being developed as part of the
[Munich Quantum Valley (MQV)](https://www.munich-quantum-valley.de) initiative.
